I have found that healthy people practice self-talk, so don’t be afraid to talk to your self. I talk to myself all the time. The real issue, however, is what do we say when we talk to ourselves? If we speak words based on fear and worry, it becomes harmful. If we speak words of truth and life to ourselves, it keeps us healthy both spiritually and emotionally.

The Bible says David talked to himself; he “encouraged himself in the Lord” (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV). We should be doing the same thing. I encourage you to get up in the morning and say, “I am right with God today through faith in Jesus Christ. I am a man or woman of God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me today” (Philippians 4:13). Let’s speak life and live in health today!
