I have learned over the years that God often closes a door in our lives in preparation to opening a new door. But the problem we often encounter is knowing what to do in the hallway as we wait for a new door to open.
Here are a few things I have learned over many years:
1 – Stay thankful. This keeps us in an attitude of faith.
2 – Stay open to whatever God has for us both now and in our next season.
3 – Stay in community. Be open with others you can trust.
4 – Expect God to surprise you!
I love what Paul the apostle says, “a great door for effective work has opened to me (I Cor. 16:9).” God is no respecter of persons. Expect Him to open a great door for effective work for you!
