Become a lid-lifting leader

More than 30 years ago, my father encouraged me to write my first book. I had never even thought of this possibility. Now, more than 40 books later, I see how my father’s influence gave me a picture of possibilities. He lifted my lid. Dad would have loved if I would have taken over the family farm. I was his only son. But he never pressured me or made me feel guilty when I took another path. He encouraged me as I followed the call from God to minister the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God to the nations. Much of what the Lord has given me today is due to the sacrifice and obedience I learned from my father. He lifted the lid in my life and helped me take steps for new possibilities.
