Good seasons in life come and go, as do hard seasons. Difficult seasons do not last forever. Hebrews 12:2 tells us to “[fix] our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Jesus faced an extremely difficult season of life in the garden of Gethsemane and then gave His life on the cross. But Jesus knew this season would change. He did this for the joy that was set before Him in the next season of His resurrection.
There are many examples of seasons in our lives. There are seasons of study, seasons of unemployment, and other seasons of prosperity. There are seasons of singleness, seasons of marriage, seasons of abundance and seasons of lack. There are seasons of loneliness and seasons of fulfillment. There are seasons where relationships and work are great, and seasons when they are not. But change is always on its way. Like a coin with two sides, life has a way of changing from one side of the coin to the other. If you are in the midst of pain, or feeling heart-broken due to a failed relationship, you must know that this season will not last forever…there is a new season coming for you.
Remember that where there is no pain, there cannot be healing. And if there is no death to a dream or a vision, there cannot be a resurrection.
