Have you ever put off making a decision until the time feels really right, when in reality, you should have just taken a step of faith? I sure have. The time was now, and I missed it by playing it too safe. The Bible tells us: “Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (II Cor. 6:2)

The word “salvation” refers to much more than the wonderful gift of eternal life; it also includes healing, restoration, and deliverance. But we will not experience these wonderful benefits unless we take a step of faith. The time to take the step is now. I encourage you to take a step of faith today and engage in a new opportunity the Lord has placed before you. The time is now. Do you need to forgive someone, or make a fresh commitment to the Lord? The time is now.

I am certainly not negating the fact that there is a timing of God for some things in life. I am simply stating the fact that for God to move in a fresh way in our lives, and for us to experience something new, it is probably our turn to take a step of faith.

It is a bit like playing chess. God has made a move towards us, and he is now waiting for us to make the next move towards Him. The time is now. The Bible says it like this: “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” (James 4:8). He desires for us to experience his presence and power today. What are you waiting for? The time is now.
